TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Note: These Terms and Conditions are an English translation of the German version. In the event of any discrepancies or differences in interpretation, the German version shall prevail.
1. Provider and Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to contracts concerning admission tickets, guided castle tours, audio tours, events, group offers, vouchers and other bookable services offered by Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen, in particular those concluded via the online booking system.

The bookingkit booking system is used for the technical processing of online bookings.
2. Conclusion of Contract
The presentation of bookable services in the online booking system does not constitute a binding contractual offer.
The customer selects the desired service and, where applicable, the date, number of participants or tickets and ticket category. Before completing the order, the customer can review and correct the information entered.
By clicking the final order button, the customer submits a binding order. The contract is concluded upon electronic confirmation of the booking.
The booking confirmation is sent to the email address provided by the customer. The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate information when making the booking and for ensuring that the email address provided can receive messages.
3. Prices and Payment
The prices displayed in the online booking system at the time of booking apply. The stated final prices include all price components required by law.
The payment methods available in each case are displayed to the customer during the booking process.
Unless otherwise stated for the respective offer, the total price is due for payment upon completion of the booking.
4. Tickets and Booking Confirmation
After successful completion of the booking, the customer receives a booking confirmation and/or the corresponding ticket electronically.
The customer is required to check the booking confirmation for accuracy upon receipt and to report any apparent errors without undue delay.
The ticket or booking confirmation must be available in digital form or as a printed copy when visiting the castle.
Tickets may not be reproduced, altered or otherwise misused without authorisation.
5. Leisure Services for Specific Dates or Periods
In accordance with Section 312g(2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts relating to services in connection with leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.
This applies in particular to guided castle tours, events and other leisure activities at Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen that are booked for a specific date or period.
In such cases, the booking is generally binding once the contract has been concluded.
Where voluntary cancellation or rebooking options are offered for a booking, the applicable requirements are set out in the cancellation terms provided for the respective booking.
The customer's statutory rights, in particular in the event of cancellation by the provider or failure to provide the booked service in accordance with the contract, remain unaffected.
6. Right of Withdrawal for Vouchers and Other Contracts Subject to a Right of Withdrawal
Consumers generally have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts unless this right is excluded by law.
This may apply in particular to the online purchase of vouchers and other offers that do not provide for a specific date or period of performance.
Details regarding the requirements, time limits and consequences of exercising the right of withdrawal are set out in the separate Right of Withdrawal information.
Where a statutory right of withdrawal exists, it may also be exercised using the electronic “Withdraw from Contract” function provided on the Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen website.
7. Vouchers
Vouchers purchased via the online booking system may be redeemed for the services specified for the respective voucher in accordance with the applicable voucher conditions.
The statutory provisions apply to the validity period unless a permissible alternative provision is specified for the respective voucher.
Cash payment of the voucher value is excluded unless repayment is required by law, in particular as a result of the valid exercise of a statutory right of withdrawal.
If the voucher value is insufficient to pay for the desired service in full, the remaining amount must be paid using one of the payment methods offered during the booking process.
8. Dates, Admission and Late Arrival
For tickets and bookings for a specific date or period, the times stated in the booking confirmation apply.
The customer is responsible for arriving at the specified meeting point or venue in good time.
In the event of late arrival, participation cannot be guaranteed for organisational reasons, particularly where a guided tour or event has already begun.
The customer's statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Cancellation and Changes by the Provider
Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen reserves the right to cancel guided tours, events or other booked services for good cause.
Reasonable organisational changes, in particular with regard to the schedule, meeting point or guide assigned, remain possible provided that they do not substantially alter the overall character or essential content of the booked service.
If a booked service is cancelled in full and no reasonable alternative service is offered or accepted by the customer, the price paid for the cancelled service will be refunded.
Any further statutory rights of the customer remain unaffected.
10. Cancellations and Rebookings
Where a voluntary cancellation or rebooking option is offered in addition to the customer's statutory rights, the applicable requirements, deadlines and any refund conditions are set out in the terms provided for the respective booking.
There is no entitlement to any further voluntary cancellation or rebooking.
Any statutory right of withdrawal that may apply and the customer's other statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. House Rules and Conduct
When visiting Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen, the applicable safety, visitor and conduct rules must be observed.
Instructions issued by authorised staff must be followed insofar as they serve to ensure safety, protect the historic premises and their contents, or ensure the orderly conduct of a visit, guided tour or event.
Persons who significantly disrupt operations, disregard safety regulations or endanger other persons may be excluded from further participation or required to leave the premises.
The statutory rights of the parties remain unaffected.
12. Liability
Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen shall be liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body or health and for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability shall be limited to the damage typical for the contract and foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfilment the customer may regularly rely.
In all other respects, liability for damages caused by slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.
13. Data Protection

14. Consumer Dispute Resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
15. Applicable Law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.
In the case of consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive the consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence.
16. Final Provisions
Should any individual provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the applicable statutory provisions.
