HOHENZOLLERN CASTLE

THE CROWN OF ALL CASTLES – ANCESTRAL SEAT OF THE HOHENZOLLERN DYNASTY

High above the Swabian Jura rises Hohenzollern Castle – ancestral stronghold of the House of Hohenzollern, from which the Kings of Prussia and German Emperors descended. As early as 1061, it was praised in a chronicle as "the most fortified castle in all of Germany" – a reputation it continues to uphold to this day.

The castle remains privately owned by both branches of the Hohenzollern family – the Swabian and the Prussian lines. Its art and cultural collections, of great historical significance, offer a fascinating glimpse into the legacy of one of Europe's most influential dynasties and can be explored year-round on guided tours.

With its striking silhouette, commanding hilltop location, and breathtaking panoramic views, Hohenzollern Castle is among the most beautiful and most visited destinations in southern Germany.
